We're driving back from the Brawn's weekly speech therapy. The Yes classic "Roundabout" comes on, because of course it does. The Brawn had been keeping up a running commentary on what he was seeing out the window but he now falls silent momentarily. About 10 seconds after the band kicks in, he says passionately, "This is greatest song I have ever heard in my life."
There's another pause before he adds, "I really love that bassline." A very brief pause, before he runs through the different ways of pronouncing the name of the instrument—"Bass? Bass?"—first correctly, and then as though it were a fish.
He goes quiet again, absorbing the majestic playing of that insanely talented group of instrumentalists, as well as the wonders of Jon Anderson's absurd lyrics, until it gets to the long middle section, around 3:25.
"Come on!" he cries. "Did they write this just for me?!"
Yes, kiddo. Yes, they did.
