So this is one of the greatest songs in rock history, written and originally recorded by one of the great singers in rock history, and later covered by one of the other truly great singers in rock history.
Bruce Springsteen trails only the Beatles and perhaps Elvis Presley in terms of the all-time great cover artists in the history of rock. And while U2's covers are a bit inconsistent, when they're good, they're absolutely brilliant.
Put 'em together like this and you've got…well, a nice cover. It's nowhere near as good as the original or John Lennon's cover, nor as great as the covers Bruce and U2 have done separately in the past. On the other hand, seeing artists as great as these having fun like this is more than reward enough. And Adam and Larry make a hell of a rhythm section, even if Adam doesn't seem to be playing the classic bassline and how is that possible?
Excellent! Would love to see the shots from the other cameras as well, but great nonetheless!
