A minivan’s kinda a big vehicle. Not as big as, say, an 18-wheeler or an SUV but, still, you know. Big.

So how is it that a small interior light can run down the battery in twelve hours? I mean, for pete’s sake, a pair of C batteries can power a bulb this size for about four hours. How can a minivan’s battery not do triple that without breaking a sweat?

I suspect communist influence somehow.

I've often wondered the same thing. I don't think it's communist influence, but the work of the battery makers.

Did you leave the light on, or did you leave a door open? A friend recently had this same issue, but she had left a door open. When I questioned how it was possible this killed her battery she mentioned the myriad other tiny lights throughout our modern cars.

You should do what I do. Drive a car not powered by one of those antiquated "batteries," but rather by water. My hydro-ride makes life so so, great.

The only drawback is having to tow around a hydro-electric plant the size of a Wal-Mart. It's a bit of a trial merging onto the highway.
